Speaking of Saints firesales, I wonder if they would consider moving Jairus Byrd and for what compensation.
I know he just retructured his roster bonus so it seems unlikely for this year, but they will have to think about the future of their cap. Next year he jumps from about 5.5 to 11 million. Also, he is coming off a meniscus injury that landed him on IR. Maybe something like Byrd, 1.13, and 1.31 for 1.03 and 2.04. The Saints clear cap space by dumping Byrd. The top picks have recently began to become more desirable than the bottom picks of the first to some teams. |
