The Brian Hoyer era in Houston is about to begin

#29

Quote: Dude was 20 of 25 for an 80% completion rate from the line of scrimmage to the 20.  And 6 of 7 for an 87% completion rate from 10 to 20 yards out.

Not to mention a beautiful 40 yards completion to Hopkins.

Not sure what more you could ask for in his first game.

Not saying he's the guy but thats a good start in anyones book.

The performance looked okay when you look at the numbers. Watching the game, though, it was really quite clear what was going on. The coaching staff did a good job of taking advantage of the opposition's lack of film on mallet and made a game plan that covered for Mallett's greatest weakness (his inability to read defenses and make good decisions) by having single read or checkdown plays where he didn't have to understand what the defense was doing beyond whether his single read was getting the coverage they wanted to or not.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
