Andre Johnson asks for his release: Update - released today
|
Quote:I think it's a bit of both. It's not possible to say the Colts got worse by the additions of: Gore, Johnson, Langford, Cole. I don't think the colts got worse, the moves they've made so far seem like horizontal movement. The colts will have to do their talent acquisition in the draft, and the GM there hasn't been consistently great at that so far, so there is no certainty it will happen. The Jaguars definitely got better in free agency. Julius Thomas alone is a massive upgrade over Marcedes Lewis whose blocking isn't nearly as good over recent years as he seems to be getting credit for. I think Parnell couldn't possibly be as bad as what the Jaguars trotted out at right tackle, either. Odrick will have to show me he's worthy of a forty million dollar contract, though. If the Jaguars land a real pass rushing threat in the draft and shore up the linebacking corps I think they should show some major improvement. |
