A guy retiring and putting long term health over money is not an example of the wussification of America. An example of that would be parents not being able to discipline their children without fear of it being construed as abuse.

Well, we agree in regards to those other two examples for sure.

 

I feel like that if you agree with and applaud Chris Borland, then that's a serious indictment on the game of football.  Agreeing with him is essentially stating that football is inherently too dangerous of a game for even adults to play.  If this game is too dangerous for even a healthy, athletic, and well-oiled, young athlete then who should play it?  Agreeing with him is one step towards fundamentally changing football or possibly banning it.
