I think 13 is a good age to stop trick-or-treating.  Maybe 14 if you get rained out a lot.  I think most kids feel too old to be trick-or-treating before their parents tell them they're too old.

A man dressed in a batman costume let one of my daughters (dressed as Catwoman) have two pieces.  The other two gave me this look like... "That's not fair!" (the other two were Wonder Woman and Tinkerbell)
