Jamie Dukes and Colleen Wolfe of NFL Network: Not big fans of Dave Caldwell or his moves as Jags GM
|
Quote:Im not being negative just being realistic. Only thing negatives are the amount of wins the jags have had over the past 2 season. Im on board with some of the moves the front office are doing mainly Julius Thomas! But come on man our fans have become punching bag and soft! Everyone so use to losing they desperately accept everything that goes on around here. No hard feelings but i dont! Its easy to be upset at not winning games, but this has been going on with the Jaguars sands 2007 playoff run, well before Caldwell and Bradley. Would you like me to remind you of 2012? 2-14............... They gutted the roster, there was no talent, NONE besides a few players. Yes, they let Dayrl Smith walk, a move probably not in the best interest of a young team. But they have improved the roster drastically in the past year and this offseason. You have got to have patience man, we all want to win but its easier said than done. And keeping Daryl Smith and Montel Owens as you called for would not of helped this team win. We have drafted poorly for years, YEARS. Through, Shack and Gene i think they managed 1 maybe 2 players in the first round that were serviceable ( that includes Blackmon) in Monroe and Marcedes Lewis. From 2003 to 2012, the Jags over the years drafted awful, horrible free agent acquisitions which led to cap hell, which led this team down a dark path. If you expect a talentless roster to simply become magic over night because we hired a new coach and GM, your kidding yourself. I think you will be pleasantly surprised this season, i cant guarantee a playoff run, but if we can get even to 500, we know we are headed in the right direction. You say fans get used to losing, i think thats a black and white statement. Yea, the Jags have sucked, but we are fans and thats what we have been given. I can guarantee you if we go 3-13 or 4-12 again someone is getting fired, and i don't think that will be the case this season. |
