Even the chart was accurate, who cares? When you have the pick, you make the rules.


If it's a player who you think will turn your franchise around, you're gonna have to break the bank to get him.

This is my thinking. If you want the guy you are gonna pay for him. Period. If they want him at 3 then they will pay for him. If not then the highest bidder will get him. We are not trying to do anybody any favors to get better while we take a low ball offer. 

 

The Rams went from the 2 spot to the 6 spot. They went back a grand total of 4 spots and got 3 first rounders and 2 second rounders. We would be going from 3 to 12. This would need to basically be at minimum the same trade and even the precedent that has been set shows that is a very modest deal for our situation. If no one wants to pay then we take the cream of the crop in the draft and let the other teams decide their own fate. We should be about getting better at all cost whether that means fleecing other teams or drafting who we want when we want.
