Trade Down Tale of the Tape
|
Quote:Assuming the trade down range for the Jaguars is from 5-31 (5 representing Washington, and 31 representing a package deal with the Saints), what players would you target at those spots? You are right. There are two halves of this question: who wants to trade up, and what is the price. Todd McShay has us taking Amari Cooper at #3. But then, a lot of people say Kevin White is just as good a prospect as Cooper. And a lot of people are saying Beasley is just as good or better than Fowler. So if we can trade down as far as #7 and still have a player left on the board that we could have easily picked at #3, how much would we charge the other team in the trade? If we think Fowler, Beasley, Cooper, and White are all interchangeable, then I would trade for as little as a 3rd round pick. If we insist on something other teams are not willing to give up, then we end up with nothing. |
