Stigma,

In 2014, the Browns moved up from pick 9 to pick 8, and gave up an additional 5th round pick.

In 2013, the Dolphins moved up from pick 12 to pick 3, and gave up an additional 2nd round pick.

In 2012, the Broncos moved up from pick 31 to pick 25, and gave up an additional 4th round pick.

In 2012, the Eagles moved up from pick 15 to pick 12, and gave up additional 4th and 6th round picks.

In 2012, the Jags moved up from pick 7 to pick 5, and gave up an additional 4th round pick.

In 2012, the Browns moved up from pick 4 to pick 3, and gave up additional 4th, 5th, and 7th round picks.

...looking at some of the recent draft day trades, moving up to pick 3 from pick 4 would likely cost Oakland a 3rd round pick, or a 4th round pick along with a 5th or more. They would have to offer that much. Would I take it if I were Dave? ...yes, as long as I felt "my guy" was not being taken by the Raiders at 3.


While this is true I still believe that the Odrick and Alualu transactions make Williams to Jax less of a possibility. Also I subscribe to the believe that a top 5 pick should be a starter. You can find depth for Marks later in the draft.
