The Jaguars are set to make history in the NFL draft

#23

Quote:Ok, after looking it up on Wiki, Jacksonville is the 13th largest city in the US with over 800,000 people in it. Over 1.3 million when you consider the metro area. Whats up with all this small market [BAD WORD REMOVED]? Its the largest city in Florida, so bigger than Tampa Bay and Miami who don't get the "small market" tag tossed at them as often as we do. WTH?

The 1.3 mill figure makes the Jax metro area the 40th largest nationally.  You'll find that it ranks similarly (a little lower)  in terms of median income - so it's those figures that present the challenge and deem it a "small market."

Regardless  - this market has shown that it can support this franchise and I expect that to only get better with wins and the Khan/Lamping plans and marketing.

I'll be doing my part in 2015 as I'm officially moving home to Duval in September

The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
