Perhaps it's best that the Titans do not to take any of the options mentioned : 1). Trade for Rivers; 2). Trade for Cutler; 3). Pick Mariota, and instead trade the pick and obtain more draft picks.

 

There are teams that like Mariota and need a QB and there are teams that really like Leonard Williams and would be willing to trade to get either. The Titans can build a better roster and see what they have in Mettenberger with a more talented squad. If Mettenberger works out, problem solved, and if not they will be picking at the top of the draft again and can look to address the QB position then. Coincidentally, Rivers may be available next off-season depending on whether San Diego Stays or goes to L.A.
