The guy who bought it from the original owners was just arrested a couple of weeks ago along with his wife for fraud and identity theft.  He did indeed fake his own death to get out of paying off debtors.  The Circle K company shut down their stores months ago. 

 

However, the family that originally owned the place opened a new furniture store a few years back. They're now called Furniture and More.  I haven't been out there since they reopened, but I'm going to assume they're selling the same quality furniture.  We've got a sofa we bought from them 15 years ago, and the thing is rock solid and as durable as can be.
