Trade #3 to Jets and draft Beasley or WR at #6
|
I wonder if the QBs go 1 & 2 if there actually is any interest in teams trading up for "the best player in the draft". If Williams really is that great, the Jags should have plenty of trade options. We have considered trade partners who need a franchise QB. How about trade partners who need a disruptive D-lineman? Teams don't usually trade up for a DT, do they?
I dunno. I just feel like Dave & Gus want to add either the perfect LEO or the perfect OTTO to this D for the next 5 years. They can probably get a good RB and WR in rounds 2 and 3. The only other scenario I envision is if they have identified a pass rusher they can get in round 2 or 3 who they think is the equal of the ones bunched at the top of the draft, then that would free them to pick a WR at #3 and get the pass rusher later. |
