***Official 2015-16 Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign Thread***

Quote:But Palin is completely ineffective advocating for conservatism. She makes conservatives look bad. She's not going to win anyone over to the conservative cause. She's an object of ridicule, even among conservatives. At the risk of making this thread go way off topic, I must respond to this. The reason(s) that Sarah Palin is disliked and/or "the object of ridicule" has nothing to do with her policies. It's all about her personality, looks and the way that she is/was perceived by most Americans. She was ridiculed, slammed and mocked repeatedly by not only the media, but also on shows where many liberals get their "news" (ie. Saturday Night Live, The Daily Show, etc.). How exactly does she "make conservatives look bad"? I happen to agree with most of her values as well as most of her ideas regarding economics. Where I believe that she would struggle would be in the area of Foreign Policy. She was successful in an Executive Branch position, that being Governor of the State of Alaska. Contrast that with the career of Hillary. She was elected to a Senate position on name recognition alone in a liberal state. While there she accomplished... well then she was appointed as Secretary of State and while there she accomplished... well there was the Bengazi thing, and the email server thing... The bottom line is, I wouldn't vote for either woman for the White House, but in my mind, Sarah Palin is more qualified for the position. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. |
