And as far as "passing that cost on to the consumer" that reflects a lack of understanding of free market economics.   Companies charge consumers as much as they can.   Whether they are paying taxes has nothing to do with it. 

 

I do cringe every time I see someone say corporations don't pay taxes. Hell the payroll taxes alone are enough to suffocate some businesses, you'll never hear me argue any group should pay more taxes.

 

I'm an advocate everyone including the poor (who you often hear are accused of paying no taxes which is crap) to the richest CEO pays to much in taxes. We have a spending problem not a revenue problem in Washington.
