That's true, but not entirely accurate. Of course certain taxes are passed directly to the consumer. But not all taxes are... for instance, the corporate income tax is not passed directly to the consumer. Sometimes you have to look at the entire picture.


The push to cut corporate tax rates is in essence a hand out to the corporation because that specific tax is booked and reported as an expense. One cannot simply pass that cost onto the consumer. It is calculated as part of their overhead.


Corporations brain wash you to believe that cutting this tax will help everyone, ie supply side economics... But what the really do is see the lower rates as a win fall that they then pass to stock holders.


In essence ccorporations are true welfare queens as we have been cutting their income taxes for decades.
