Also, they are the guys that the majority of the casual fans see a lot so their viewpoints are often elevated a lot more than they should be.

 

The biggest (maybe only) advantage they have is that they do usually have actual team/insider sources so they hear more stuff. Obviously that is sometimes the truth and sometimes smoke.
