Simply put... 12 sacks tells me the guy can get to the QB. This goes for Ray and Beasley. Moreover, if you just watch these guys on tape you'll see how quick they can hit home, and that's especially true of Ray. Ray has this ability to get to the QB while most of the players are just getting out of their stance.

 

No one's questioning Ray's explosiveness. Him, along with Beasley are the two most explosive guys in this draft (probably Dupree too). 12 sacks? Now who's talking about past tense?

 

Ray often gets stone walled when his first step doesn't work against the OT. When the OT gets his hand on him...he's done. Like...done. His bend and agility on tape is awful, and his pro-day further confirms those question marks.

 

Timing the snap and a quick get off works in the college game. Not so much in the Pros, which is why there's plenty of concern how Ray's game will translate in the Pros. His 3 cone dril is 7.71. That's lower than Leonard Williams who is 6'5 302 lbs, lower than Arstead at 292.

 

And his tape shows that when the OT does get a hand on him, he's done. Finito. He can't shed it.
