Neal Sterling WR/TE

#3

Quote:“After practice and walking off the field getting stopped by all these scouts from so many teams felt pretty good,” said Sterling who ran a 4.55 40-yard dash.

He had a 36.5” vertical and pumped 225-pounds 19 times on the bench press. Most important, he demonstrated is attention to detail in running his routes and displaying his soft hands.

“I like to do all the little extras,” said Sterling when working on his craft and techniques at the position.

The little things are paying off for this big target. Possessing long arms (33”) and overall impressive muscular frame, Sterling passes the eyeball test by a mile. The fifth-year senior faced plenty of double-teams in his final season where he finished with 55 catches for 905 yards and six touchdowns. Chiseled and agile, Sterling is an imposing figure who knows how to use his size to his advantage against even the biggest defensive backs.

“My sister actually says I’m just like Alshon Jeffery from the (Chicago) Bears,” Sterling said when asked about who he may remind us of at the next level. “I feel like I resemble him with basically his size and the way he catches the ball and how he uses his body to shield off defenders. I try to model my play after him. I have learned a lot from watching him.”

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
