Trade #3 to Jets and draft Beasley or WR at #6
|
Quote:No. The general rule of thumb is that a pick one round higher in next year's draft is equivalent to a pick this year. So in lieu of the Jets 2nd round pick, I'd accept their 1st round pick from next year. I would be willing to trade #3 for #6 and ask for very little in return, based on the idea that the players available from pick #3 to pick #6 are so evenly rated, there's so little difference between pick #3 and pick #6. Every mock draft or top-50 player list has the players in that range rated differently. Fowler, Beasley, Cooper, White. I'd be happy with any of those. So why ask for a king's ransom to trade out? To me, pick #6 plus a 3rd round pick is worth more than pick #3 alone. |
