Game of Thrones anyone?

I travel a lot, so my ex-wife got me the first book on audio. I then purchased the rest of them on audio, so I have the whole collection.
Gotta admit, I've had to pull up the interactive map on the web just so I can see where the various places are. Other than that shortcoming, the audiobooks are great for long road trips. They can be a bit hard to follow, what with dozens of story lines going at the same time. Like Deacon noted, at times the author just seems to be going through the motions, but I guess that's what happens when you write a few 700-page books. I'm interested to see where Martin takes the TV series, but I don't know if I'll even get the next book. Turns out he killed one character too many for my tastes. Sigh... but I guess I gotta find out what happens to Arya and Tyrion. |
