Telvin Smith is going to rip off heads this year, lets give the defense as much help as they can and worry about offense after the first round. 

 

An offense that can stay on the field and put up points will help more than any one player on defense can at this point.  

 

If we were an average or above average offense last year, sure, go defense.  There is that factor of diminishing returns at that point.  But our offense was so bad that adding a stud offensive player is exponentially more beneficial to both sides of the ball.
