Wilson's line is injured.  Despite playing with a terrible O-Line, he is getting them W's (with the help of their defense).

 

A lot of other QBs have done really well playing with average and even below average QBs.

 

At no point is anyone advocating having bad offensive lines... the question is whether a premium left tackle is vital?

Is it more important to have an all-pro LT but also have 2 horrible players on your O-line?  Would you rather have that than 5 average players on the O-line?  I don't know, not sure.  That's why the question has been raised.

 

There have been recent examples of QBs performing well despite having a horrible O-line.  There has also been instances where a bad O-line cripples the entire offense.   I think that I would rather have 5 average offensive lineman than Tony Boselli if he has to line up next to Will freaking Rackley and the 35 year old Meester's of this world.
