I definitely agree with you that Beasley is the best player in the draft based on talent/fit/needs. However, I think you're selling Roddy White a little bit short there. Obviously he was not a Calvin Johnson level talent, few are, but he was still someone the defense had to account for. In his prime, the defense needed to make sure corners were playing tight coverage against or was shaded by safeties or he was going to beat you consistently. He may have not had the physical talents of the current true #1 WRs, but he was still a worth game-planning against. Atlanta had top 10 offenses when he was a focal point and in his prime, unfortunately the defense consistently let them down, so they didn't make it far and their offense won't be remembered much.

 

I'd also consider Cooper a far superior prospect in terms of refinement of the craft as well as his physical gifts. Would he be top five WR? No, that's reserved for the physical freaks who can harness all their talent, but I think he could top out as a backend top 10 WR. That would be worth the #3 pick.
