Because it is proven year after year after year that it is not hard to field a good rushing attack with a cheap and specialized RB stable. Denard, Gerhart, and a day 2 RB (or preferably good scheme fit day 3 RB even) can be plenty good. Our run game is going to be much better this year even if we added zero help. Joeckel is poised to take a step forward. We got a huge, nasty upgrade at RT. We have a former top 10 C (or a year better C w/ Bowanko) in the fold. Our RG is a monster. Our LG is another year gelled with his new team. Toby hopefully won't get a high ankle sprain week 1 and then try to play through it for a month. 

 

We were the youngest offense in at least the last decade, and maybe even a lot longer. I don't think we need to spend enormous draft capital to draft an RB to have a much improved run game.
