I think Mark Long is full of it. At a minimum the moment he would apply for reinstatement you would think his agent would contact the Jags just to keep them in the loop. With the Rapoport's and Schefter's of the world they would jump all over the story as well.

Quote:Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell was asked about Blackmon on Friday. Caldwell said he has not been given an update from the league office regarding Blackmon. After the season finale, Caldwell said he was hopeful to hear something from the league by the draft.


"Our process hasn't changed," Caldwell said. "Plan to go without him, but if he emerges, he emerges and he's going to go in with those top guys and compete with those other guys. Hopefully we're able to get some news, but if not, we weren't planning on it, we're just going to go."


Caldwell said the team doesn't know if Blackmon has applied for reinstatement. The NFL Players Association told the Times-Union last week they had no update on Blackmon's status.
