I was one of the people defending Fowler, citing his versatility and ability to play the run while he made sense at LEO. Still, closer to the draft, I did fall in love with the possibility of Leonard regardless of fit, of Cooper's presence helping our offense and Blake, and even Beasley's explosiveness. I should have stuck to my gut awhile back when watching these guys when I thought Fowler was the right fit for LEO. In the end, it looked like the Jags brass agreed.

 

I love me some Scherff. Love me some. But #5 is pretty high for him still, IMO and was surprised when he was drafted. They better hope he can transition to RT.

 

The Gurley and Gordon pick was disappointing to say the least. Both would have been targets for us if we decided to trade up for a 1st round pick.

 

Tomlinson is a good player, but don't sleep on AJ McCann. He could be an option at 36th if they felt they need to upgrade Beadles. Same thing with Randall going off the board. There's still a couple of CB to FS convert prospects left, such as Erik Rowe. Those are options still.

 

The selection of Dorsett makes me sad. He'd help that Colts offense. Let's hope Fowler can put Luck on his back before he can find Dorsett.
