I'm reminded of a quote by Jack Del Rio regarding Reggie Nelson's publicly complaining about being forced into duty as a cornerback:

He is a one-cut, go for broke type guy, but catches the ball well and is tough around the goal line.  He also good in pass protection.  On top of all that, he is a kick-off return guy, which we really need.  Seems like a good fit.  #36 might be a lttle high, but if we don't take him I'd hate to see him go to Dallas or Arizona a little later and tear it up.

I could see Coleman going as high as 47 to the Dolphins, but since they already have Lamar Miller in the fold (who's a very similar type of player), I think they'd lean more towards taking a bigger back in the third round than adding a very similar player with their second-round pick. I also suspect Arizona is going to want a bigger back, and might look at Ajayi.

 

The thing that throws a monkey wrench in for me is that San Francisco jumped up two spots to get ahead of the Texans for Melvin Gordon. Did they think the Texans were going to trade down and let someone else take Gordon, or did they think that the Texans were going to take him? If the Texans were looking at a running back in round one, Coleman in two would not be a huge stretch. The Cowboys make too much sense for Coleman. If I were to place my bets as to where the Jaguars would absolutely need to be to get Coleman, it'd be 59. If they wanted to make sure they get him, and the price of admission isn't too high, jumping all the way up to 50 to be on the safe side might make sense, but you don't want to give up a huge chunk of your third day on a team that needs as much depth as the Jags do to get there.
