For perspective and I won't do this question justice I am sure but I have to ask.

 

Can you imagine the situations honest hard working police officers find them selves in just doing their job?  Can you imagine walking up to a known crack house to deliver a warrant?  Can you imagine walking up on a routine traffic stop a week after a fellow police officer was shot and killed doing the same thing?  Can you imagine responding to a traffic accident and seeing a child decapitated?  Can you imagine what these men and women go through on a day to day basis?  I personally cannot.  They perform a job that I could not do, and one that I would never want to do.  Imagine all of that stress and emotion these representatives of the thin blue line must have bottled up on every single encounter they step into.

 

Now let's compare that with someone who breaks the law.  A criminal who robs at gunpoint an innocent hard working cashier at a gas station.  A drug dealer selling crack to a 14 year old child.  A drunk driver seeing flashing lights in their rear view window for the 3rd time in 6 months.  A rapist getting caught in the act with knife at a victims throat.

 

I do not know how you can put that two in the same category.  I do not condone the killing of criminals unless absolutely necessary however I certainly understand how mistakes are made.  The solution to prevent that from happening is on those who commit crimes to just stop.

It's very easy. It's been made very clear to me that some people do not value all people's lives, only some. I am not one of those people. There are people that, regardless of the situation, assume the the criminal just should have died because criminal. You see it every time a new situation pops on in the media. I value all lives and that offends people apparently. 

 

There are incidents and situations when killings are necessary such as recently in Garland, TX. But then there was also the kid with the toy gun that got killed among others.  The fact that more of the criminals death's were justified and perhaps even necessary is irrelevant to me because it's the ones that weren't I am talking about. It's appalling to me that in a modern society it still happens where innocent people are killed whether suspect/criminals or cops.
