I've ran a small "corporation" (Small business but we file as a corporation) and I just don't understand this statement I see it a lot. As a corporation we have to match employee payroll taxes, pay property taxes, pay sales tax (this one is paid directly buy the consumer), in my line of work we have various environmental fee's (more taxes) and that's just off the top of my head. Now maybe the argument is that customers provide all of the corporations income so therefore all the taxes are paid as a result of customers spending money?

 

Things like the matched payroll taxes, environmental fee's and property taxes all come out of the bottom end profit. Heck even the new ACA legislation (which doesn't effect our small company of 10 but others I know it does) is another tax that companies (corporations) are paying for. I'd argue we have WAY to high of a "corporate" tax we should be looking to eliminate the corporate tax along with the income tax and use strictly a consumption tax.
