What I see being a more critical issue, are the social implications for our society. You know...when you're out at a social function and no one looks up from the smartphone to acknowledge anyone else. When a family is eating dinner and everyone, including parents, are on their cell phones. When people are more interested in making a post about something they are doing, rather than actually doing it. It's as if technology, and especially the internet, have in many ways freed people to become independent of others, and allowed them to pursue a world of their own online, that caters only to their demands.
