Wasn't the Jets game the one where Brady went running around with the rule book showing the refs it's supposed to be 12.5 - 13.5?  Were the refs lax about the psi, or did they check the Patriots' game balls, find them under-inflated, and give them a squirt of air?  I dunno.  It does point to the Patriots and Brady being very aware about inflation and how Brady strongly prefers it at the lowest legal psi. 

 

But why the contention between Brady and the ball boy?  McNally doesn't have any control over the balls once the refs check them.  The fact Brady was PO'd at McNally means The Deflator didn't perform his needlework very well, or maybe he didn't get a chance to. 

 

BTW, I note that Belichick has not been allowed to open his yap again after the initial clumsy remarks in which he claimed he had never in his whole coaching career thought about the air in footballs.  Really, Bill?  Did your mind go blank when your QB was chasing the officials around after the Jets game because of air in footballs?
