Good point.  And defensive strategies could become much more aggressive on PAT attempts, since a blocked kick gives the D a pretty good chance to score.  That would be a 3-point swing, essentially equal to a FG.

 

I have another question - what about a faked PAT attempt, with a completed pass to the end zone?  1 point or 2?
