Nothing about Henne has ever suggested to me that he's "mentally checked out", but his talent is questionable. If we need him for a game, we'll survive. If we need him for an extended stretch, we're screwed, but how many teams can really say that their backup QB could carry them for a large portion of the season?

 

Usually, you'd say that the incumbent QBs on teams that drafted quarterbacks in the top two picks of the draft, but Mike Glennon and Zach Mettenberger are both young and cheap enough that they're likely to stick. Jay Cutler is another obvious choice, but the backup plan in Chicago is Jimmy Clausen--Cutler's not going anywhere. I can't think of any other easy cuts at the position. Plenty of veteran backups will hit the street during camp, possibly those on teams that drafted mid-round QBs, but no one really screams "not a chance of sticking" to me off the top of my head.
