If you want to have a discussion without questioning people's intelligence by all means we can have that but you have now attacked me personally twice in two different threads. Wake on the wrong side of the bed today or something?

 

Aside from that, American of yesteryear has done some amazing things. We put a man on the moon as one of the highest accomplishments. But you have to take the good with the bad and flat out ignoring while also glossing over the terrible and awful parts of the past is no different than what you are claiming to be a liberal bias. You can't just ignore awful things because it challenges your red, white, and blue fuzzy feelings. 

 

Typical liberal progressive (is that what you want to be called now?), deflecting actual facts to get away from the "argument" (discussion).

 

Here is something that just came to me, and may be a liberal progressive way of thinking.  Do you always focus on the bad rather than focus on the good?

 

How about addressing the parts that I outlined and explain how the "patriotism was drilled" into your head regarding each one.  I'm sure that you can find a negative in each one.  Perhaps it's because a LGBT person wasn't involved on the moon landing or because the Revolution left someone out.
