live shrimp on a jig head and test some creek mouths out... ive found high tide has the bait pushed farther up in the creeks and low tide is productive near the mouths of the creeks... most of the ones from beach blvd to the little jettie can be productive... also pablo creek is decent if u get your boat past the bridge and the bugs.... i caught a few flounder in the creek across from pablo as well and its a pretty short jog from beach marine in a boat.

 

lately ive been hittin a place called chickapit near little jetties... the big flat behind the island near the little jettie.... lots of reds in the creeks around it and the flat is good if the tide is up and water is relatively clear.

 

also ive heard about some trout down town near the bridges at night... i used a gulp molten shrimp on an 1/8 ounce jig head... seems to be trout candy.

 

if you are not useing live bait i would never leave home without these and some jig heads
