Aaron Colvin pushing for starting corner spot

If that means Colvin starts and slides to nickel in certain packages to maximize our DBs I'm OK with that.

Very likely. ^

Also - if you read between the lines of the Gus Bradley presser from last year when Colvin began playing  -- he made me feel like part of the reason that  they liked Colvin at nickel at that time (and moving forward) was that he had the "spatial awareness" to play the middle of the field well.

It sounded to me like perhaps he didn't actually trust Gratz or McCray to play there just yet.   The way this scheme emphasizes that whole "sideline as a defender" technique for it's corners - the nickel actually has more ground to cover on a lot of plays.

The way Colvin had some impact from the nickel spot early on - I wouldn't mind seeing him there in certain packages.

Would be cool if Gratz, Campbell, Harris or Reynolds emerge as a quality nickel.  Of course it would also be very interesting if House ends up as a  6 million dollar a year nickel.
