If I had a friend who was abusing alcohol or drugs, I would obviously  have some responsibility to  intervene  in some way with advice or something to keep them from killing  themselves.  

 

But in the case of having a friend who is killing their self with  food, where  is my responsibility?   Do I tell them, "You need to eat a lot less?"   Do I say, "You need to look out for your health?"

 

How do you stop somebody from killing their self with too much of the wrong food and lack of exercise?  

 

Don't I have some sort of responsibility to intervene and try to save a life?   How do I handle this?
