This is the focal point of all of this I think. Yes, locker rooms are different places but do they need to be? Should they be allowed to remain "different"? The dynamics of a sports team always seem to be a "boys club" type of thing, but I'm starting to think that it's better off if it isn't that way. Yes, players are a different breed, but they're still societal members. They still need to be held to the same standards as everyone else. Why should a person be subjected to public humiliation just because he's an athlete? Does it really do the team dynamic any good?

 

If anything comes out of this catastrophe, I hope it's that the League starts to realize that a workplace is a workplace regardless if it's a locker room, a meeting room, an office space, whatever. All I know is that if anyone left me a voicemail talking about how he's going to #### in my mouth while my Mom watched, there would be repercussions about that. That kind of thing has no place while I'm at work.
