The only reason this is being talked about is because the Boston media/fans are grasping onto anything and everything to deflect attention away from them cheating.

It's no difference than the Patriots hanging a "16-0 regular season" banner in their stadium.... Only to lose in the Super Bowl that year.

Also no different than the losing Super Bowl team hanging a "AFC/NFC Champions" banner.

Going undefeated in a regular season is far less common than losing in the AFC Championship game.

Only two teams in NFL history have completed a regular season undefeated.

Teams lose the AFC Championship game every year.

Had you made it to the Super Bowl and then lost, I would completely get the AFC Champions banner.

But losing the Conference championship and putting that banner up makes no sense at all.
