You completely denied the idea of poverty being a factor in crime, but were apparently okay with the idea of guns as a deterrent (the far more prevalent topic in this thread). I presented a comparison to the more prevalent topic in the thread. It wasn't necessarily directed SPECIFICALLY at you, but at the thread in general.


Also, if I'm looking at more than one issue (poverty, guns) as a whole to the larger problem (crime), then it is I who is looking at the forest and you who is looking at the trees.

I missed that intention, if that was the case well done! You'd be one of the few people that understand sympathy vs. empathy as far as I can tell.
