FSU QB and Jacksonville native De'Andre Johnson suspended, allegedly over punching woman

It just blows me away to think about the magnitude that action had on De'Andre's life. The dude was probably the most popular dude at First Coast, rooted for FSU his entire life, and is now sitting at home, going to abuse prevention classes, talking to lawyers, and removing any and all FSU items from his home.
5 seconds and 1 bad judgement response is all it takes. I only hope this makes him a better person and he goes on to have success elsewhere a la Cam Newton. Who knows, he may have sat the bench his entire career at FSU anyway given the elite QB competition they have now and also coming into their 2016 recruiting class. |
