I will also point out, EVERY time this has been brought up on the message boards, none of the situations required a man to defend his life. 

 

Um, my first post in this thread was:

"You won't get through to the "you NEVER hit a woman" crew, though. The people that don't believe women are capable of causing significant harm are as stubborn as they are ignorant. Would I ever hit a woman? Not unless my life or health was significantly threatened, but you're dang right I'm going to defend myself if that's the case."

 

In other words, if you haven't used the word "never", then I wasn't referring to you. And if you agree than in cases of life or health being significantly threatened, defending with force against force is appropriate, then we shouldn't have an issue.
