What kind of set up are you using, i just got a med-heavy abu garcia vendetta rod with a 4000 shimano stradic c14 reel... basically for everything inshore up to the jetties... maybe a little strong for bass though lol.


That's a pretty nice set up. My "old trusty" is a Berkley medium-heavy lightning rod on a Penn fierce 3000 reel w/20 pound braid. I've fished up and down Heckscher Dr, Mayport, and the occasional retention pond on that set up without any issues whatsoever.
