Now to the questions.

 

1.  If you could change one play in Jaguars history, which one would it be?   Mine would be the muffed punt by Reggie Barlow right before halftime of the AFC Championship game.  Before that play, the Jaguars had the momentum.  There was the possibility the team could have gone up by two scores by halftime.  But he muffed the punt, giving them the momentum going into halftime. It's either that one or the Willie Clay interception in the AFC Title game in '96. While the '99 team had the talent, that '96 team was riding some serious momentum and without that play, maybe they keep that train a-rollin' through the Super Bowl.


 

2.  Name one play, good or bad, that encapsulates the rivalries with:

 

A.  The Colts-My choice is FT running over Mike Doss to beat the Colts How about that PI call against us in '04 (?) at home. Just infuriated me how Manning seemingly always got a PI call whenever he needed it, and that was a classic example. If I wanted the positive route though, it was that Fred play. Just an amazing cap to that game.


B.  The Tacks...??? Fred's touchdown run in Tennessee in '04. That was the end of a long drive that really showed that the team was not going to be pushed around by the "Tough Guy" tacks any more. One thing about Del Rio, he knew how to play against Fisher.


C.  The Texans....??? The entire Henne game where he threw for what seemed like 500 yards and still lost. Houston is just a thorn in the side and they seem to be a real tough out for us.


D.  The Steelers-Chris Hudson running back the blocked FG at the end of the first MNF game  Fred's TD run towards the end of the "234" game. I've written this before, but he had no business playing like that at that point of that season. The team was done. The season was done. They were just playing out the string then Fred decided that he was going to play out of his mind that entire game. Then he rattles off a 26 yard TD run that turned Three Rivers into a mausoleum. Just an unreal moment.


 

 

3.  What is your one favorite play in Jaguars history?  Maybe Brunell's run against Denver I remember how I felt when Jimmy caught that TD that same game in Denver. While there was still game left, it was a sign that the team was legitimate and they weren't there to just get handled. They were ahead, way more ahead than anyone ever expected them to be.


 

4.  Name your one favorite play from the following players:

 

A.  Fred Taylor-His game winning 71 yard TD against Tampa Bay, 1998

B.  Jimmy Smith-The fade from Brunell

C.  Mark Brunell-Brunell's scramble against Denver

D.  MJD-

E.  Other - Garrard's scramble in Pittsburgh. It just set everything up. The team had stormed out to a monster lead and then Ben did Ben things and clawed them back in the game and had pulled ahead. Everyone knew that the Pitt Defense was going into Lock Down Mode and it's a pain to beat a team twice in a year anyway, much less twice at their place.


 

5.  The most amazing play in Jaguars history-good or bad.  My pick:  The River City Relay against New Orleans. An absolutely jaw-dropping series of events.
