For now, I'm pinning most of Scobee's struggles on the blocking. Knowing that you're going to have a face full of rushers much more quickly than usual has to affect a kicker's timing and motions. Scobee's a pro kicker and should have been able to work through a lot of that, but I have a hard time blaming him if he really was rushing kicks a bit because he didn't trust the line.

 

If he struggles again this year behind an improved line, then we need to talk about declining skills.
