The number of UK units of alcohol in a drink can be determined by multiplying the volume of the drink (in millilitres) by its percentage ABV , and dividing by 1000.

Example. one 12Oz beer is 355ml

Pabst is 4.74 ABV X 355 is 1682.7

1682.7 / 1000 = 1.6825 Units of Alcohol

Darn. I was about to move to the UK so I could say i stay within the drinking recommendations, but I guess they are about the same!
