I'm not going to continue arguing this with you, just saying that if Todman really was as spectacular a kick returner as you want him to be, the team would have made some effort to keep him, either with a tender or with a lower offer, instead of just letting him walk.

I'm not making any claim that Todman was a spectacular returner. I just pointed out that when Todman began moving down the depth chart he was let go. The team was content to go with players who they thought may have the potential to compete for starting jobs or significant playing time to fill those special teams positions.

 

The fact is the jags have not brought in players just for their ability on special teams since the rebuild began. There are no established special teams players like Owens, Osgood, or Sorenson being brought in or being kept on the roster right now. There is nothing to debate, this is a fact of our roster make up at this time.

 

Will this change in the future? Most likely, but the roster is what it is at this point.
