Packers home game in 2016 likely to be moved to London

But let's be realistic here. This was a non division, non conference, and non rivalry game This was an 8-8 team we were scheduled to face in London. The fact that they are called the cowboys has little bearing on jaguars fans. This was at best the 6th most meaningful home game for the jaguars. No one has been holding their breath waiting to see Romo play in everbank except maybe some local cowboys fans.
Division/Conference/Rivalry don't matter.  It's a premium opponent that would generate more interest from the local fan base.  I get why the league cherry picks the best possible opponents.  I just don't agree with the approach.  Last year there were other non division, non conference, and non rivalry games that could have been chosen.  The league picked Dallas because it would do exactly what I'm saying it would do here in Jacksonville.  The Giants and Dolphin games come to mind.  We had one exception that probably would have been a bigger draw and that was the Steelers game.  Fortunately, the league saw fit to leave that one alone.  The team was able to charge a premium for those tickets.

To say it was the 6th most meaningful game on the home schedule last year is laughable.  If that was the case, the NFL wouldn't have bothered shipping it to London, but keep telling yourself whatever you need to in order to prop this debate up.

BTW, those London games?  They have very little bearing on Jaguars fans.  The proof will be in the pudding this year when the ho-hum Jaguars face the equally middling Buffalo Bills.  My guess is that the "electricity" surrounding the arrival of two small market teams in London will rival a soft thud.  The good news is that London will host several games this year, so NFL fans will get an opportunity to see some decent football.  As a Jaguars season ticket holder, I don't even like losing the Bills game, but in looking at the schedule, none of the non-division, non-conference, non-rival games would have been a huge loss this year.  Buffalo is as good as any.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
