Do you think Brunell would been an elite QB in todays game?

He made the pro-bowl but I think he stands out because we've never really had anyone better (Garrard was better than people usually give him credit for but was not a superstar by any stretch of the imagination). With all that said, hard to say he was an elite player over the course of his career. So if he wasn't an elite player then, hard to imagine he'd be an elite player now. In his best year he might be one of the guys in the "also-ran" discussion. Brunell was never a top five QB. In his good years you could say he was top half of the league, but considering the talent around him his performance (except for maybe the 96 playoff game in Denver) wasn't even close to elite. |
